Tesla currently has a used 2021 Model Y AWD with acceleration boost priced at $25,100 on its website. I bet dozens of people are waiting to click “BUY” once the price drops to $24,900 and it qualifies for the $4,000 EV tax credit. Regrettably, I need to wait until Jan 1st to get the tax credit.
Yup. Just as the automakers, leveraging the “shortage” narrative, to gouge people on new cars, also increased the price of used cars. There is probably a law of economics, that an increase in the price of one good, will result in increased price of the substitutes for that good as well.
I’m sure this will get pulled, anytime I’m critical of TFG, the post gets flagged, but what the hay:
TIG is just spouting gibberish to take the attention away from his ( what will be failed ) promises to cut gas prices, grocery prices, housing prices, …
Yeah, USA is going to annex Panama, Canada, and Greenland, any day now, any day now.
Expect the idiotic statements from him to keep rolling off his lips…
Keep in mind, 41 cooked up an excuse to invade Panama. He even had the chutzpah to call it " Operation Just Cause" to give it the color of a reasonable thing to do. After all, a second rate actor had cooked up an excuse to invade Grenada, so why not? …just thinking out loud: has there been a Shiny administration, in the last 50 years, that did not invade someone? (Cambodia & Laos, Grenada, Panama, Afghanistan & Iraq) Only 45 did not invade someone. That may be on the “to do” list.
OK, I’ll give ya Panama. But Canada and Greenland are of the majority pale complexion, are they not ? Not sure what sky figure they worship in Greenland, I guess that is something that would trigger some USA USA USA chants as we storm the Greenland beaches, lol ( but I doubt it ).
I had coworkers who were convinced all the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq. The VP at the time was still propagating the “Prague meeting” narrative, a year after it had been debunked by the FBI, Czech intellegence, and the Iraqi security official who had been stationed in Prague at the time.
Steep tariffs will create overabundant demand for non-tariffed alternatives, so the “JCs” jack up their prices to equal to the tariff burdened prices of imported goods. They may sell half the volume, but they will make up for it in more profit per piece.
We get so many basic goods or raw materials from China in products etc that if a company net margin is 5% to 10% when Chinese imports rise with the tariffs…it is no mission. Mission over. Lay offs. Does not matter who was laid off. In a demand side economy demand will drop. Sales will drop.
