OT: Gaza: Why can’t Israel distribute food safely?

Who do you believe?

  1. Reports of starving people in Gaza are false reports spread by Hamas
  2. Hamas steals the food and resells it
  3. Hamas attacks those distributing food forcing Israel to shoot back
  4. Food seeking crowds are so large they cannot be controlled.

The Beeb had a reporter ride along on a Jordanian Herc air dropping supplies into Gaza. He was sternly warned, by the Israelis, do NOT TAKE PICTURES OUT OF THE WINDOWS OF THE PLANE, while overflying Gaza. The Beeb has also routinely reported their own reporters are not allowed into Gaza by Israeli authorities, but they are confident that the video they show was indeed shot in Gaza.

Remember how USian media rode along with the troops during the invasion of Iraq? What are the Israelis trying to hide?

You forgot this one:
5. Because they just don’t want to.

Thomas Friedman:

How did we get here, where a Jewish democratic state, descended in part from the Holocaust, is engaged in a policy of starvation in a war with Hamas that has become the longest and most deadly war between Israelis and Palestinians in Israel’s history — and shows no sign of ending?

My answer: What makes this war different is that it pits what I believe is the worst, most fanatical and amoral government in Israel’s history against the worst, most fanatical, murderous organization in Palestinian history.

The headline makes it seem that this column is a Trump slam. It’s not really, it’s more of an “everybody” slam.

Gift article. Well written, insightful analysis.

All of the above. It is not just one or the other.

Israel has to resolve this the hard way. Hamas is insisting. Hamas hopes the outcry will help them eradicate all the Jews. Christians as well on another day.

Don’t be naive about the Muslim Brotherhood. Most of the Arabs are very worried about them.

Why is Israel distributing food. That would be like having Turkey distribute food to the Kurds, or Russia distribute food to the Ukrainians, or Natzi’s distribute food to the Jews. Shouldn’t it be the UN distributing the food and Israel out of the way?

Andy,

The world demands Israel live by higher moral standards.

This has not been declared a famine. Meanwhile the world very willing does not care at all about declared famines.

We have no mention of Yemen or Sudan and the horrors on a much larger scale. Boring compared to bashing Israel.

Non stop propaganda. Not any word on Yemen or Sudan. No need no one would tune in and buy some soap.

Israel began to feed the Gazans in earnest as of this morning.

Trump and the UK PM playing the good cop and Bibi playing the bad cop are on the same page. Time to declare a country in Gaza. The last thing Hamas wants.

You can talk about anything you like, it’s a free world but what you can’t tell me is what I can talk about. Nobody, with any conscience, should ever want children to starve. That is a big problem. Bringing up Yemen and Sudan doesn’t do what you think it does. It only confirms to me that you realize that what Israel is doing is just as bad, it’s only that you are trying to assuage your conscience. But just because Johnny stabs Sally does not mean it is alright if you do it also.

So before they were not feeding them in earnest, that is interesting.

I’ve read that it is to keep Hamas from distributing the food (a source of power and cash).

Yes it does because you do not care at all. Instead you are defensive.

We need to stop meeting this way. LOL

They have groups that were doing that but to many were getting killed by the bombings from Israel. Plus the Israeli’s stopped them.

I think you are the one that is being defensive.

You keep looking for attention. Maybe next time do not call people out by name.

When Marjorie Green states the truth, than everyone understands the Truth.

“But a Jewish U.S. Representative calling for the continued starvation of innocent people and children is disgraceful,” she said. “His awful statement will actually cause more antisemitism.”

You shut your mouth! When MTG starts making sense, the apocalypse is upon us. I’m not sure which one of the seven seals it falls under, but we’d better watch out.
