Speaking of moving things to another board, is there an active board that discusses options?

The option board over at stock advisors is very active. More so than the MFO board.

The SA Options board as others suggested is quite active.
If you ever want to kick around ideas or have questions regarding options, am certainly happy to discuss.
I used to use options far more often and now use them sparingly, but there is a time and place.
Now I look to “gamble” with options. A good example of that was OTM Kite calls last year that returned 15x. Risk a small
amount which would have been a complete loss if it didn’t work out, but returns are large if it does.
I used to sell quite a few puts and calls and did diagonal trades as well. I am looking at doing some hedges as the market continues to rise.

Bear, please don’t take offense but you want to stay away from the boards on options. They are dangerous. The paid Options service is the place to go to learn and get good advise. Their tutorials are outstanding. When you really understand them then you can vet the users on the boards for yourself.

MF Pro has a good options community & very good learning tools.
LOL, I could be wrong, but methinks Bear’s request was so politely worded that readers mistook it for a
request for information, and pitched in to “help out.” I believe (tell me if I’m wrong) that Bear was
suggesting that the options discussions be moved elsewhere. If so, I second the motion. If not, kindly
disregard my erroneous comments.

Hi Bear,
I understand your point on options. On occasion I bring up stocks that I think are good purchases and option purchases at the same time. That said, this is a board focused on growth stocks so I will plan to respect the board’s purpose and rarely mention options.

PS I still think you and Saul would probably improve your returns if you try options for very volatile situations. Options, when done well, reduce risk as they improve returns. Good thing for any growth stock investor to consider.

I wanted to add my thanks as well for bringing the FMI options idea on this board. I benefited quite handsomely from that idea and I closed those options yesterday.
