If the Iranians had a crude, non-miniaturized bomb they could put it in a shipping container, ship it around a bit and have it end up in Haifa harbor.

[Trump weighs potential U.S. military strike on Iran, demands ‘unconditional...](https://www.cnbc.com/2025/06/17/trump-iran-israel-khamenei.html)President Donald Trump warned Iran’s leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that he is an “easy target” and that "our patience is wearing thin
Demanding “unconditional surrender” is about the worst tactic imaginable, especially to a religious zealot who believes he’s on a mission from his god. It also fires up the population even if they disagree with the regime, so: good job, Don.
I am with you. This is a dumb and stupid move by Trump.
Bibi has the right move, unconditional destruction of the nuclear capability.
The Captain
The two unconditionals – regime and nuke program – are basically the same.

Absolute opposites! Bibi is not threatening, Bibi is not asking Iran to destroy their nukes, he is doing for them free of charge. ![]()

Like in Libya?

Libya is no longer a problem for the West.
Germany is no longer a problem for the West.
Japan is no longer a problem for the West.
Cuba has become a problem for the West.
Venezuela has become a problem for the West.
Davos has become a problem for the West.
Iran has become a problem for the West.
How they manage themselves is their business.
The Captain
I don’t think so.
Unconditional surrender is the surrender of a military force or nation without being able to set any limits on the subsequent actions of the victorious power.
Destruction of nuclear capability is limited to one aspect.
At the same time, I am having trouble picturing one of the two happening without the other.

I’m remembering an agreement, lo those many years ago, in which the Iranian government agreed to slow down, almost to the point of eliminating the enrichment needed to make nuclear weapons. It wasn’t perfect, but it seems to have been better than what we have today, which is “you’all can do whatever you want, and then we’ll bomb you if we feel like it.”
It was done between the then US President and the then (and still) Ayotollah, so there was a point at which there was “one without the other.”
I wonder what ever happened to that agreement?
“cancel culture” that seeks to wipe out everything done by others, and replace with “arty deals”?

The IAEA’s latest report confirms that Iran continues to undertake activities in blatant violation of the JCPoA and that there has been no improvement in its cooperation with the IAEA…
The DG’s report also notes that it has been four years since Iran stopped provisionally applying its Additional Protocol, depriving the Agency of complementary access to critical sites…
The E3 have consistently worked towards a diplomatic solution to address Iran’s nuclear programme. In 2022 it was Iran who twice refused a negotiated outcome and instead escalated and expanded its nuclear programme. Let us be clear: Iran has chosen to escalate its nuclear programme, far beyond the limits it committed to in the JCPoA and far beyond any credible civilian use…

Nothing at all to do with Israel domestic politics of course.
Twenty-four hours later, Israel began attacking Iran. In one instant, Netanyahu’s political problems were swept away. No more ultra-Orthodox parties complaining about the military draft or far-right parties shouting about praying in the al-Aqsa compound.
“The cards are in his hands. If they weren’t a week ago, they are now,” said the official.
Didn’t Trump pull out of the agreement unilaterally ?
I like trader, peace making Trump who goes to N. Korea. This warmoger Trump is dumb and stupid.
I don’t know why every president starts a new war.
Kuwait → Bosnia → Iraq ->Afghanistan->Libya->Ukraine and now Iran.
If I was any country I would never give up my nuclear weapons. Look at what happened to Ukraine and what happened to Libya. The only way to make your country completely safe is to have nuclear weapons. If that statement was not true then Israel would give theirs up.
I believe so. Note that the linked statement was from France, Germany and the UK; they did not drop out of the agreement, and said agreement does not expire until October 2025.

Iran maintains that its nuclear programme is peaceful and that it has no plans to develop nuclear weapons. Since May 2019, however, Iran has continued to violate the terms of the JCPOA agreement…
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says it has been prevented from satisfactorily monitoring Iran’s nuclear activities since February 2021.

https://thehill.com/policy/defense/5357109-israel-missile-defense-shortage-iran/
Israel is running low on its supply of Arrow missile interceptors as Iran has increased its fire toward the country with two hypersonic missile barrages Tuesday night.
The shortage, reported by The Wall Street Journal, raises concern about Israel’s ability to defend itself from such long-range missiles from Tehran should the conflict stretch on.
*Citing a senior U.S. official, the report said Washington for months has been aware of the interceptor shortfall and has been supplementing Israel with the American-made THAAD missile defense system as well as warships that can shoot down incoming armaments. *
The Pentagon has also sent more missile defense assets into the Middle East since Israel began its largest ever conflict with Iran last week, causing worries about the U.S. too quickly using up its own interceptors, according to the Journal.
she was not invited to attend a June 8 Camp David retreat, where the president “convened senior national security officials to discuss the Middle East.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has given an unusual level of authority to a single general in the latest Middle East crisis — an Iran hawk who is pushing for a strong military response against the country.
U.S. Central Command chief Gen. Erik Kurilla has played an outsized role in the escalating clashes between Tehran and Israel, with officials noting nearly all his requests have been approved, from more aircraft carriers to fighter planes in the region.
Well it looks like they will not have enough troops to invade Blue Cities so we are putting on hold the war with American citizens and going to war with Iran. So much for the end of all wars President. I guess his negotiating abilities at 79 are not as good as they were at 71.
