Buffett’s feverish buying of Oil stock reminds me of his purchases or railroads in 2009.
That said, his prior timing in this sector (COP) has been poor.

You got a better price than Berkshire. So far this week, Berkshire has spent another $250M buying shares of OXY in the range of $56.8462 to $59.8491. It is getting very close to a 20% stake.
