Please STOP this Upstart Drama

I’m taking the liberty ( perhaps due to frustration and my respect for this board) and urging, begging to STOP the threads on Upstart (UPST).

This invaluable board that Saul has built over so many years doesn’t deserve this noise. It is apparent that Upstart has believers and those that don’t and everyone’s perspective is respected, however it doesn’t mean that you lose sight of your goal; which is to be a good investor and focus on getting you there. For many newbies on this board please remember that the investors with a lot of experience and who have done wonderfully well over the years ( though I don’t like to take names but folks like Bear, Stocknovice, Gauchorico and of course Saul himself) has taken some action on Upstart and I’m pretty sure they are focussing on what’s the next best move. That detachment from a stock performance is what sets successful investors apart; focussing on the performance of one’s portfolio is far more important that focussing on a stock that you may have sold and moved on.

In the last few days, 90% of the posts have all been related to Upstart which is perhaps out of many investment portfolios over here. So, what’s the point of doing that versus not focussing on what you hold at this moment? Is that going to take you portfolio higher when the market reversal happens?

This drama is not only making it extremely difficult for someone to read informative posts but probably making the board manager’s life very hard.

Cheers!

P.S.The stock future’s are showing some positivity and perhaps all of us will be a little better tomorrow AND before we realize this sell-off will be in the rear view mirror. Then you’ll feel rewarded if you spent time focussing on the right stocks and NOT on the noise

I agree with Ronjob. We are just obsessing over Upstart details at this point and filling up the board with it.

NO MORE UPSTART POSTS UNTIL EARNINGS COME OUT AND WE HAVE SOMETHING REAL TO TALK ABOUT!

Further Upstart posts will be likely be deleted.
