I apologize in advance for taking up people’s time with this post/poll. I have a close friend who recently told me that I “have developed a very annoying and condescending habit of disagreeing or stating the opposite of whatever [he] says”. He also described his observed behavior of me as arrogant and jerk-like. I think he was referring only to discussions about investing. I am disturbed that he feels this way. While I know that I have strong opinions about investing that I am not shy about sharing, I thought that there is value in freely sharing my thoughts and opinions. I really view this more as a discussion which I find useful. When someone says or writes something that I disagree with or if someone makes statements or assertions that cannot lead to an actionable response then I will state so. Perhaps more bluntly that I should. If I have seemed annoying or condescending to others on this board, then I would like to know. Is my friend being overly sensitive or have I hurt people’s feelings on this board. The reason that I am posting this here is that my friend said that I have treated some people of Saul’s Board the same way that he fells that I have teated him. If I have offended anyone, I sincerely apologize. I would also appreciate it if you could send me a private message if you feel that I have offended you or treated you poorly.

This poll is anonymous so please feel free to answer honestly. If you have a specific feedback that you would like to share, positive or negative, please send me a private message so that Saul’s board does not get cluttered with a bunch of OT posts.

I don’t want to turn this into a 40 post thread and get Saul aggravated, but Chris I read nearly all the post to this board and you are one of a half dozen or so posters that I make a point of looking for. Keep up the tremendous work.

IMHO, if as you claim this is a “close friend” and it is clear that you are troubled by his observations, perhaps you should be talking to him directly about his feedback, rather than asking a board of hundreds of relative (growth stock picking) strangers who have little or no context of your relationship and can’t possibly understand the context. Seems there are clearly other issues afoot.

Good luck with your challenge. “Close friends” are hard to find.
