Robot Grocery Store

Robots are packing customer orders by picking product from the bins just below the grid. Completed orders then go to delivery van for transport to customer.

How many robots does it take to run a grocery store?

I already pick my own groceries and check myself out due to thin staffing of the grocery. I also transport my own groceries home. And NO capital expenditure for robots!

For prepackaged items like cereal, flour, coffee, dark chocolate bars (mmmmmmm, dark chocolate), etc, no problem.

But I haven’t met anyone that can pick the best fresh fruit (peaches, blueberries, strawberries, apples, melons, grapes, etc.) better than Ms. Wolf and I can. There is a real art to it.

I bet Ms. Wolf and I spend a third of our shopping time picking out the best fresh fruit, another third just waking around getting steps in, a third throwing prepackaged stuff into our cart, and a third waiting in line.

Remember, there a 3 kinds of people; those that can count and those that can’t.

And don’t get me started on picking fresh blueberries off the bush!

Hmm, fresh picked blueberries dipped in dark chocolate! What could be bad?

The best part was the host was wearing a high vis vest, in case the bots were unable to see him.
