It’s been far too long since there’s been a plug for VITA and TCE. This is the time of year to sign up and volunteer to assist the elderly and befuddled with their taxes.

Since I’m not Phil, I don’t have the current numbers at hand. So use the internet and a bit of common sense on your search results.

You get some free training, get to help out your community, and get to tell stories in March and April. What more do you need?

Inspired by @aj485, I have been an AARP Tax Aide Volunteer for several years.

The excellent people on this board are naturals for this volunteer activity. It’s enjoyable to meet people and hear about their lives while helping them do a necessary task which is so difficult for them and so easy for us.
