None.

3, but I missed 90% of the gain.

None.

POOL?!
Who would have thought?
POOL pretty much kills SPY, apart from a very nasty tumble during the Great Recession.

I certainly wouldn’t have guessed CERN or POOL.
Never heard of them, in fact.

POOL looks like price has been outstripping performance, which makes it a little easier to get to the top of this list.

But CERN looks like the reverse: it is actually cheaper than it used to be on some metrics.
Total return is maybe have a percent less than EPS growth rate in the last decade.
I might do a little reading on them…

But CERN looks like the reverse
fuggedaboutit. All they do is make Higgs bosons. There just isn’t a market.

Hey, competitive advantage…their product is heavier than all the others!
More for your money!

Tesla is “high tech vroom vroom”
Amazon is “world domination at all costs”
Cern is “high tech health care information systems”
Pool is “splish splash”

POOL is much simpler than the others, it apparently confines its business to pools and pool supplies.
I was initially wondering if POOL was an overlooked See’s candy i.e. a simple company that mints money.
I guess from Jim’s comment that he looked at some valuation measures for it, and like ‘nahhh…’

Jim,

I think Oracle beat us to CERN, provided regulators let the buyout deal proceed, so no need to
check it out.

Did you hear about the Higgs boson that walks into a church…

Maybe if you hedged with neutrinos…
