I get the wait on posting, but not being able to edit a post a day later? That makes no sense.

Trying to correct a simple typo!
You can’t even edit minutes later. It’s absurd. But I understand why. If you can edit then you just post one comment early on and then can add your new thoughts every 10 minutes in haste and with that “immediate social media have-to-respond” style. And that is exactly what they are trying to avoid with “slow posts” on hot button topics.
