Tourism is big business. The U.S. is a standout though the sum of the EU nations is higher. I’m not sure whether these numbers include internal tourism (such as Americans touring our National Parks) or international only. Whichever, it’s a good reason to be welcoming to tourists. A smiling tourist is money in locals’ pockets.
I wonder if even a professional tourist like @OrmontUS has been to Algeria?
