Turkey/NATO/Russia

It is sometimes forgotten that Turkey is a member of NATO. Turkey is the second largest military in the NATO alliance; yet, it has not been aligned with NATO against Russia. It has not joined the sanctions regime against Russia

Turkey has continued to increase its imports of Russian oil to the point that it now accounts for almost half of Turkey’s energy requirements. And it is not just imports. Turkey is exporting more to Russia – 40% more – than before the war. And Turkey is doing more than sending

Turkey is selling some weapons to Ukraine. Just business I suppose.

You can say a lot of the same things about Hungary.

The money is probably coming from the Pentagon. The Turkish economy is in ruins. The Turks need any monies they can get. People have moved their families in together and still can feed themselves.
