If you read the comments, the only people the CDC quarantined and isolated were the flight attendants. Scary that they let every else be on their way at an international airport where it could be spread to the four corners of the Earth.
Norovirus is a common problem on cruise ships and has been around for years. Nothing new. Ships usually deal with this with hand sanitizers and frequent hand washing.
It would be great if vaccines were available for such diseases. Not fatal very often but ruins your vacation.
I’ve been on ships where they have staff wandering all over and constantly wiping down surfaces that people commonly touch. Like stairway banisters. Elevator buttons and handrails. Etc.
I’ve had that happen on 3 cruises, but fortunately I didn’t get the Novovirus. When the crew goes into disinfection mode, they must be working 18 hours day. They have to hand serve everything to you on the buffet line and have twice as many people working in the restaurant.
