Unsupported Browser? Safari?

My 2012 Mac Pro is OS blocked at Mojave (10.14.6) and until this morning, Safari ((14.1.2 (14611.3.10.1.7)), has been fine with TMF, but now I’m getting a message:

" Unfortunately, your browser is unsupported. Please switch to a supported browser to view rich content, log in and reply."

What’s up with this? While I have Firefox, Safari has alsos been solid, working… And is my default…

in further news, as I move to the latest and greatest, for me, a new Mac Mini Pro, I at least can readjust to once again sticking with Safari… Firefox has it’s own quirks, rather stay in one, Safari, browser…

I keep Firefox, Chrome, Opera up to date, just in case, but I still wonder why, of all the browsers, only this older Safari is making the new MF OS grumble…

Solution! - Bought a NEW Mac Mini Pro, latest OS is Ventura, and Safari was also updated, so now no need for the old Intel version… And everything woks fine in Safari (Version 16.3 (18614.4.6.1.6))…

So a ~$2.5K fix to be able to use one browser for all sites…

Well, there were other issues, but… I was overdue…

Not sure what you bought, but there is no Mac Mini Pro.

There are 4 desktop Macs:

  • iMac
  • Mac mini
  • Mac Studio
  • Mac Pro

Oh, NO!! In the fine print, notice the M2 Pro… I had it come with a 2 Tb SSD & 16 Gb of RAM… Seems happy… as am I…

Glad to see you are still around, Steven, so many changes, and more on their way… Since we lost the Apple User Group, I try to post Apple related on the Apple Stock board, but sometimes the HWTSC board if it fits…

I had to escape the old 2012 Mac Pro/Mojave to bring all the apps up to speed, but it still sets cold and powered don at the end of my desk…Left one 2 Tb HD in it, in case I need to run old software, etc… Hard to let go of old long time workhorses… But is so slow, relatively…, Sad… Earned its retirement!
