All not true. Average H1-B salaries 75K. My son out of college started with $95K and not even in IT. We all know how the system is gamed.

$75 per hour is about $150k. You were just pounding on the table for $60k.

You have serious reading comprehension problem.

There are many positions in Bay area for which companies pay hourly rate that is like $75 ~ $85 per hour. Now, after the contracting firms profit, overhead, payroll taxes, etc you can figure out how much the individual gets it.

If google pays the contracting firm $75 to $85 per hour, what do you think is the payroll tax, insurance, overhead, contracting firms profit? You are looking at $40 to $50 per hour for the H1-B employee and if the contracting firm guarantees some bench, some paid vacation, god forbids a 401(k) match, you are looking more like $70 to $85 K per year.

H1B fees is now $100k. It is essentially stopping it. Companies will instead outsource the job and in some cases, serious competition will emerge from parts of the globe where $Trillion companies and jobs will relocate.

Be careful what you wish for. Why would students come to the US if there is no job prospect.
