An Israel-Iran ceasefire?

@buynholdisdead

Most of the Israelis are Arab.

Iran might as well ignore that people are Muslim. Grabbing for power Iran has seen millions of Arabs die at war.

Israel gets the least of it from Iran. The ME talks a loud game but the action between Iran and Israel is minor stuff. Over in what six to twelve days.

The US Iran conflict is in full swing.

The problem can’t be solved by Nuclear weapons and I do not think we can tell other nations they can’t have them, because we do not like them, while we allow other nations, that are in conflict with them , to have them. So if we let Israel have them then we can not tell SA or Iran they can not have them. But if we take them from Israel then we have the moral standing to take them from other countries in the region.

I have never said that but I find it interesting that you are thinking that.

It’s never over, it has only subsided for now.

Neither of those are the issues. It has nothing to do with dislike. It has nothing to do with allowing others to have them.

Nuclear proliferation is a dead end for the human race. We can not allow that.

Trump never should have gotten us out of our agreement with Iran but here we are.

There are three players on our side: SA, Israel, and the US.

SA and Iran are fierce rivals.
Israel is the Jewish boogeyman to Iran.
The US is the Great Satan to Iran.

Meanwhile any time Iran can send a weapon to Arab splinter groups they do. Instead of holding up signs and voting there is war across the region because people are armed by Russia/Iran.

At the end of the day it is a cold war between the US and Russia.

Yes it does, it has everything to do with that or Israel would not have them. We could have stopped them but we didn’t.

I am in total agreement so we take them Israel with the understanding that we will stand up for them . The same agreement we gave Ukraine.

Agreed

Even if we were to take them somehow from Israel that has nothing to do with Iran. The Iranians are not getting nukes because of Israel.

Iran versus the US that is why Iran wants them. Iran versus SA again the reason.

Politics in the ME might have you baffled. What is said is not meant. Just like here. Israel is fighting our war against Iran.

Yes they are. Do you think Israel would attack Iran if they had nukes? They do not have continental missles yet but if they had nukes the U S would think twice before attacking them also.

I think it has you baffled but that is ok. That is why we all are here to help you out. What we have over there is a bunch of brothers from another mother squabling with each other over the centuries. Once you understand family dynamics it isn’t hard to understand the Middle east.

Iran does not want to fight with Israel. Israel does not want to fight with Iran.

Iran wants money for oil and gas etc…they need medical supplies. Iran wants into the global banking system and an end to US sanctions.

The nukes are for leverage with the US.

Err, did you forget the Cuban Missile Crisis?

  • Resolution:

The crisis was resolved through a combination of a US naval blockade of Cuba and negotiations between the US and the Soviet Union. The Soviets agreed to remove the missiles from Cuba, and the US agreed to remove its missiles from Turkey and to not invade Cuba.

However, you want to say the hand of cards was played, we did not invade Cuba recently because Russia invaded Ukraine. It is not in the wash. We push Cuba and Russia all the time.

Iran’s deeply buried nuclear enrichment plant at Fordo was badly damaged, and potentially destroyed, by the 12 massive bombs that U.S. Air Force B-2 bombers dropped on it last month, according to a new American intelligence assessment.

Two other nuclear sites targeted in the U.S. attacks were not as badly damaged, but facilities at the sites that would be key to fabricating a nuclear weapon were destroyed and could take years to rebuild, U.S. officials said.

One change is the current Director of National Intelligence has no previous intelligence experience and is prone to crackpot conspiracy theories.

Even Iran acknowledges most of the facts involved here. Iraq constantly said not so.

What do you mean by safer? Non-nuclear weapons are killing hundreds of people everyday in Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, Syria, Nigeria, Myanmar, Columbia, Mexico and many other countries.

I mean more safe. If no country had the ability to wipe out millions of people with one bomb, the world would be safer. Given the rapid escalation that would take place should a nuclear war break out, I think it’s safe to say that if nuclear weapons didn’t exist, we’d all be safer. That isn’t a controversial statement.

Sure, non-nuclear weapons are being used to kill too many people. I suppose the world won’t be safer until there are only sticks and rocks that humans can use to hurt one another. Which brings us back to nuclear apocalypse. Oh the irony, the world is far less safe before it, than after it.

I like his use of the words ā€œhundreds(should take off the s) of peopleā€ when in fact the other war zones it is ā€œthousands of peopleā€ on ignore. Why is that? Oh they have our guns and Russian arms as well.
