An Israel-Iran ceasefire?

Sure. The country has spent billions on a program to enrich uranium to 60% for what, exactly?

Advanced Nuclear reactors.

IIRC, ANRs need 10-20% enriched uranium – high assay low enriched uranium (HALEU) fuel.

Your talking leu but there is also heu reactors. The navy uses them.

This is simple: 60% enriched uranium is for making a bomb, nothing else.

@buynholdisdead 60% enriched uranium is not necessary, regardless of what are navy has.

I disagree. There is a case to be had for HEU reactors. Just because you do not want them to have them doesn’t mean that it isn’t necessary. It isn’t necessary for Israel to have a nuclear bomb either, yet they have them.

So after all that you want Iran to have nukes?

That means SA gets nukes. They are in a fierce competition under the surface.

Then leadership changes in both SA and Iran and both are nuclear armed.

Congrats to you? Logic?

I don’t want any of them to have nukes including Israel. Why do you only want Israel to have nukes?

We have nine powers that have nukes currently. That is where it stands. I do not want them to have nukes.

Do you want Iran and SA to have nukes? Do you stop that? Or do you allow it? If Iran gets them, SA will insist on getting them.

Why do you keep asking the same question when it has already been answered? Do we take the nuclear weapons away from Israel?

Agreed. The world would be a safer place if no country had nuclear weapons, including the US. But, we’ve crossed that bridge and there’s no going back.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, it’s difficult to argue why some countries should have them, and other countries shouldn’t.

However, some areas/countries are much more stable than others. For example, North Korea shouldn’t have them. Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo shouldn’t have them.

Like Pakistan? Maybe you mean Russia? No, no, you probably mean Israel…the country currently shooting hungry people they’ve run off their land when they come for food aid.

Here’s the problem, stability is temporary, nukes are enduring.

It would be easier to keep them away from countries if we didn’t attack them if they didn’t have them. We either supported them or left them alone.

You have not answered the question.

Do we stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons?

Do not try to snow me. We can all see the questions. If Israel is allowed to keep the Nuclear bomb then we do nothing. We just stand down.

Do you take the Nuclear Bomb from Israel?

No we do not take the bomb from the US, Israel, UK, France, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, or NK.

Do we stop Iran?

Correct, and that is the argument for no nuclear weapons. As you noted, that cat is out of the bag. However, that situation doesn’t mean that more cats would be better.

More cats will definitely mean the destruction of global population.

@buynholdisdead

Do we insist China not have nuclear weapons so we can stop Iran?

What is different about Israel besides being Jewish?

Iran is a theocratic dictatorship.

China is a dictatorship, so let’s have China give up the nukes.

Before you say Israel is on our payroll…Israel contributes to the West much more than it takes from the West
