The amount of market/economic negativity in the media and even to some extent on this board is breathtaking and about the worst I’ve ever seen. If ever there was a contrarian indicator, it appears to be close to now. Anyway, as others have clearly indicated, Berkshire Hathaway appears to be a satisfactory investment at current prices over the next 10 to 20 years to generate acceptable Real returns unless capitalism and democracy in the United States do not survive. If those two events occur, we will all have bigger problems to worry about.
