You will see more of them on the roads as Tesla just launched the $79k version. Hate it or Love it.
Maybe racoons joined the Trash Tesla Clan.

Just let me know when a black bear or grizzly opens it up like a tuna can. Although most of them are smart enough to pull the door handle to see if they are unlocked.

I passed one on the highway the other day. It was painted with lots of advertising from owner company.
Painting stainless steel for ads? Seems strange. I thought stainless was forever.
Of the trucks I have seen, a couple were stainless, one painted black, one painted orange.

It’s possible that it was “painted”, but it’s more likely it was “wrapped.” I’ve talked to two owners at EV shows who have done that. One simply wrapped it all black, the other had advertising logos and whatnot all over the place. Costs between $2500 and $5000, supposed to last 5 years or more.

There’s a matte black (wrapped) cybertruck that I see periodically and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Is it flipped upside down so the tires could be stolen? I bet they got the battery as well. It has not caught fire–YET…
I’m not a fan of defund the police, but I have to think the Irvine cops could make due with a less expensive vehicle.
It is probably a good way to do PR to kids…just to get their attention so they hear the message and think the police have some cool officers.
