I can see that in a couple of years, the military and the police wanting to use this bullet proof and fast vehicle.
Although he is ridiculing the Cybertruck, it is free publicity.
There comes a point where “free publicity” doesn’t help. The guy who said “That Edsel looks like a Buick sucking a lemon” probably did more to kill the line than anything else. That was also free.
They might want that, but being a police officer is less dangerous than being a landscaper. There are certainly city council members corrupt/innumerate enough to authorize a needless expense like this, but if there is a really a need for bullet proof police vehicle it would certainly be cheaper to up-armor a Crown Vic.
The part about a Cybertruck owner deliberately breaking his own finger on the trunk was hilarious though. I’m on team Cybertruck on that point as well.
That’s true. People have been breaking fingers on trunk lids and car doors since the dawn of the automobile, though rarely deliberately.
Saw this video this morning – not Tesla FSD.

I’ve seen one running around our area for the past month. Ugly and awkward barely scratches the surface. At this point don’t care about the bullet proof option. I’ll take the Ford Raptor any day.
My guess is the Cybertruck bullet proof option will be good for suburban moms.
Demand for Cybertruck significant exceeds supply. They are currently selling the foundation series which is 20k higher.
Remind me not to move to your suburb…
