Iran wants to prove it is war proof. Meaning it can disrespect us enough that we are meaningless.
As we just saw Iran took a tanker. Not the same as an embassy, we still need to put our foot down. Let Iran be embarrassed by our actions.

I don’t think Shiny-land has an embassay in Iran anymore. We do, for some reason, have troops in Iraq and Syria, like bait staked out, begging to be retaliated against, more.

Those troops shoot their way out with air support they won’t be taken. People targeting them are generally the losers in any battle.

From the article I read, this was the same (renamed) tanker that had been stopped and then confiscated by the US for transporting oil to/from Iran. So Iran was careful to “take back” what they felt was theirs. Be interesting to see who does what next…
