https://store.hrblock.com/shoppingcart/cart

Price is up to $30 this year. Software works well and can deal with most situations. Can download info from your brokerage account.

When I go to that link, it takes me to an empty shopping cart. When I click on the H&R Block logo to get to the home page, I get offered $40 ($10 off) for Federal return only, or $59 (again, $10 off) for Federal and state.

Must be because you’re a returning customer.

Or you could just use freetaxusa.com for a free Federal return and $15 for a state tax return. Also deals with most situations (for instance, I own rental homes). I don’t download from my brokerage because I want to understand what’s going into my taxes, so I’m not sure if that’s offered. But for the number of brokerage transactions I would have to put in, an extra $30 or $40 wouldn’t be worth paying. YMMV

I’ve used this for the last two years and highly recommended. Over the past many years I’ve used TaxAct and TurboTax; all eventually wanted to charge me.

Okay, that one does give $20 off instead of $10 off. It’s still more than free.
