H1B Visas both sides of the story

Great video, thanks.

Really scary when a lot of the most intelligent commentary on current events is limited to edgy comedians.

People with a real job can’t say things like that in public, because their “JC” might not like it, and impose consequences on them.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the “job” spectrum from H-1B professionals…there was speculation, over the last week or so, whether TPTB would want Mexico as a US state, as has been proposed for Canada. Beside the observation that the population of Mexico would not conform, like most of the population of Canada would, another thought crossed my mind.

iirc, Mexican auto workers, for instance, are paid about a tenth what US auto workers are paid.

I found some comparative labor costs for slave vs free labor in the US. Free labor cost anywhere from 3 to 5 times as much as slave labor, per year. Given USian factory workers cost ten times as much as their Mexican counterparts, today, could it be that Mexicans working for wages, are cheaper for the US “JCs”, than having slaves in the US? Seems that would be a good argument for leaving Mexico as a separate country.
