Forty-nine states have announced plans to drop their indoor mask mandates as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations steadily decline across the country. The only holdout remains Hawaii.
So the wife and I just returned home from a trip to the Winn Dixie right at 6:00 AM. The whole store staff was masked. She and I were the only customers out of a dozen wearing masks. Our cashier thanked us for bagging our own groceries in cloth bags and for wearing masks while around her.
The plexiglass shields over the credit card machines and all the way to the registers which are about 6 feet high are still in place. Good on Winn Dixie.
