Israel Must Prepare for War with Turkey

Bibi is sending a message to Erogen.
Let’s see. Gaza, Lebanon, and now thinking about Turkey & Iran.

The ousting of Syrian President Bashar al Assad has put the United States, Israel and Turkey on a fast-track to a broader and more violent conflagration. By removing Assad and obliterating the state, the coup managers created a power vacuum that has been filled by the proxy armies of the most vicious and aggressive nations in the world all of whom are now prepared to intensify the fighting in order to determine the final borders of the New Middle East.

Israel hit nuke weapon research site

defense sources have told The Post, adding that the Jewish state is willing to take such a bold step if officials deem it necessary — since President-elect Donald Trump has not objected to the possibility.

I guess we could leave people to the whims of slavery.

Blaming Israel and the US is a good place to start.

The average Turkish family with everyone working can not afford the rent. Some war you think they are going to fight.

Yes, Erdogan talks crap.

I can see the Saudis and others fighting on Israel’s side. The Kurds? Of course, would fight Turkey.

As military parts wore out the US would not resupply Turkey. That is assuming the US is not downing the entire Turkish airforce and taking out tens of thousands of Turkish troops.

Oh yeah, Turkey has a say.

But most of this is the press playing with itself.

Adding when you think of a reporter think of what you do on the toilet. That is how one of them makes a living.

Gee, wasn’t I talking about that a few weeks ago?

First Erdogan needs to make sure someone in Turkey makes a living.

Then we will finally see some progress.

Overrun the Kurdish parts of Syria and Iraq, with the promise the oil will help Turkish finances.

Steve

No it won’t. The US will order Turkey to retreat. The arms are NATO’s. Read the US. Turkey can not go to war with Syria because a few reporters are having wet dreams.

Besides the US, Russia, Israel, SA would all upchuck on Turkey. That would be a lot of dead Turkish military men.

They are not known for how they fight.

adding the Syrians are very battle-hardened. Good luck fighting them as the Turks. Laughable. Street to street house to house fighting. 10 to 1 Turkish to Syrian losses.

vs Syria devolving into a gaggle of squabbling warlords? The US will be fine with Turkey taking over, as long as it is understood that touching Israel will bring immediate engagement by the US.

Turkey has developed a significant domestic arms industry, and has experienced troops, thanks to years of incursions into Syria and Iraq, duking it out with Kurds.

No - you were talking about Turkey actually annexing territory from numerous other countries to re-establish the territorial scope of the Ottoman empire.

No one doubts, or disagreed with you, that Turkey is going to want to play a heavy role in what happens internally in Syria. As will Israel. Which could easily lead to proxy conflicts that might escalate.

But the idea that Turkey is going to try to annex all the lands between it and Saudi Arabia, like back in the old Ottoman days? That would be delusional.

I have an idea! Let’s stay the hell out of the Middle East. We have no idea who the players actually are or who is really aligned with who. We don’t understand the motivations or culture. We spent 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan and couldn’t make heads or tails out of either place.

Let’s just put it in the too hard pile and move on.

I believe US troops are positioned over the oil.
It is the “Exceptional” nation’s right to the oil!

US troops continue illegal occupation of Syrian oil fields, warns minister

Those US troops used to be in a different place. When Turkey wanted to charge into Syria, TFG moved the US troops out of their way. My bet is TFG will move US troops out of anywhere Turkey has ambitions.

Steve

The Kurds are in Northern areas. But the oil is South of Raqqah.

When reporting on the Kurdish situation a week or so back, the BBC showed a map of Kurish controlled areas similar to this.

Comparing your map to this one, about half of the oil field area is in the Kurdish controlled area. Refer back to the quotes from TFG wrt engagement in Syria, in the article I posted. I don’t think TFG would have a problem with Turkey taking all the oil and gas fields. After all, he has other operations he will need troops for.

This map is even more advantageous to Turkish ambition. It shows the ISIS boogyman operating in the areas where the gas and oil fields are, that are not in Kurdish controlled areas. So Turkey Hoovers up all the resources, then leaves a “buffer zone” between it and Israel, so everyone is happy. Then the Turks can turn their eyes toward northern Iraq, and more oil.

We have already discussed where those troops would be deployed.
