At the very least, all take off and landings should require pilots to wear masks.
Perhaps someone will alert DOGE to this?

DOGE don’t like vaccinations or masks.
Under current rules, one of the pilots in the cockpit (usually the co-pilot since it’s uncomfortable) must wear a positive pressure mask when flying above 41,000 ft.
That doesn’t happen with the airlines, but high performance business jets often fly above 41,000 ft.
A positive pressure mask feels like they’re filling your lungs with the air hose from the gas station everytime you draw a breath.

Last I heard take off and landings happen below 40,000 ft.

I was thinking something like the full face, low pressure masks that sport scuba use?
The video says that communication as well as peripheral vision are problems with the current mask n goggles used by Boeing.
The full face scuba masks allow both communication and “wider” vision.
Bird strikes appear to be a problem mostly during take off n landing. My suggestion is that both pilot n copilot don the masks between ground level and … a couple thousand feet altitude - whatever makes sense.
