Musk thinks there is fraud in Social Security

Heh, what other option is there? Storm the capital?

It kinda worked in the end, didn’t it.

Pete

Did it?

The guy who started it still sat on his backside out of power for 4 years and if not for the ineptitude of the opposition, would still be sitting there.

The failure of the dems does not mean what the J6ers did achieved their goals. It clearly didn’t.

Footnote: It is sooooo stupid that we can’t type the four letter word that starts with 'b" and ends in “tt” but instead must use “backside.”

Besides complaining? Nothing. Fortunately, we don’t need our SS benefits. We took them early because of the risk that the SS fund would be depleted in a few short years. That risk has always been talked about, but it was always in the distant future. The future is now very close in my opinion.

The Republican controlled Congress seems quite willing to relinquish their role as the 3rd branch of government and hand over all power to the Executive Branch. Cue hackneyed expression: the founding fathers must be rolling over in their graves.

Most of it is just throwing out babies.

Well, that could describe most of the Trump administration.

It’s not a cabinet; it’s a junk drawer…

My mom was always hounding me to get rid of my stuff. Why? Make more room for her stuff.

As said before, the argument is never about how much, it’s about who benefits.

Speaking of foreign aid, close, personal, advisor, to the POTUS, Alina Habba, said on Fox Noise, that USians should be happy to pay foreign aid to clear Gaza, so it will be ready for redevelopment.

Habba’s piece is at the 11:49 mark. Do not listen to the rest of the piece, just what Habba says. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE REST OF THE PIECE!

The argument is never about how much. The argument is always about who benefits.

Who benefits is always worth asking. Here is free link to an extremely interesting analysis by a long time brilliant news hound I subscribe to:

Three different, somewhat competitive groups, of “move fast and break things” geniuses with different motivations.

Update:

Note, this guy previously worked for Musk at two different companies…

So, he isn’t being terminated because he is a flaming racist - his boss already knew that. He is being terminated because the rest of us learned he was a flaming racist.

From the article - “Elon Musk gave a self-described ‘racist’ and eugenicist access to a system that controls all financial payments from the U.S. Treasury. That system also contains the personal information including Social Security info of every American,” he said in a statement.”

Here’s another glorious post from this doosher - “Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool.”

Tough to defend someone like this, but the GOP is getting pretty good at defending the indefensible. Practice makes perfect!

Character matters…

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/02/06/trump-congress-gop-founders/

“We’re getting a pretty intense lesson in how much our constitutional order depended on people’s character,” McCain’s former chief of staff Mark Salter told me. “Donald Trump is a character test that Republicans, almost to a person, have failed.”
