Need user's manual for using new TMF Boards/Old Member

I have been out of the loop for about 3 years with health issues and TMF has made significant changes. I need detailed instructions on how to navigate the boards now and how to post.

Hi ImAGolfer, Thanks… I have been stumbling around that place and finally figured out how to write this email, but the titles there didn’t seem to fit what I was looking for. The new way of working on TMF is overwhelming to me right now… That is the only place I saw the green button for a new message. I didn’t see it on Options where I have a subscription…

If you click on the Fool’s cap on the upper left, you get a list of all the discussion boards. It shows which ones have new messages or unread messages.

Use the search feature (spyglass upper right) to search for a topic. To see if your topic is already listed. You can search all board or only the one you are on. Then decide if you want to add your info as a reply to existing topic or start a new one.

Different from before but works pretty well.

One thing that can be confusing is that there are two distinct sets of boards. This one is on the free side, where anyone can post. The paid side is limited to paid subscribers; there are boards for each paid service along with boards not specific to any paid service. There is TMF participation. There is a button at the top right to switch to the other one, Switch to premium.

I will take time to use your suggestions and those of the others who have responded also… Will let you know how this goes…slowly, because I am very slow with this lately… but once I learn how to use it, I’ll hopefully be back… Anne

Been away for a while. Can you still access a list of your favorite boards? I’m not seeing it…

For a while we could link to posts on the old boards but that was discontinued a while ago as far as I know.

I have noodled around and taken the suggestions of people who replied… thank you!!! This is what I ran into while doing that: 1. made a print-out of their suggestions; 2. found and printed “New Boards Help Guide”; 3. found and printed “Setting Up your Left Navigation Sidebar”.
Now I will take the time to wander through these 20 or so pages and try to get acclimated… starting with the latter which I hope will find me a way to get emails from TMF having to do with my paid subscriptions again… Anne, ready for work…on this stuff… I did love the old boards, but then I am old and do not like drastic changes… please stop!!!
