New Member Help Please

I am sure this has been posted on here somewhere but I am having trouble navigating. Is there a link or post that helps define some of the terminology that I am seeing being used? I’m not looking for this to become a long discussion as again, I’m sure the info is somewhere, I’m just hoping someone could point me in the right direction. This is a completely new world for me and there is a LOT of information out there.

Thanks for any input.

If you’re looking for definitions and explanations of financial terms and concepts, www.Investopedia.com is a good resource.

Google the terms you are not familiar with. Navigating TMF is kind of difficult. If Google fails, ask about the term right here.

Thanks for your recommendations. I wasn’t sure if I was missing something on TMF or if it was just easier to Google the info. And I will definitely check out investopedia.com.

Thanks again

I’m an old TMF member that has a lot of trouble navigating the new boards. There are some 5,000 companies on the stock exchange. How do I find the discussion boards on a stock that may not be recommended by stock advisor?

Hi @smolkod

You will want to go to the Premium Boards where folks with subscriptions talk about companies. You can do that by clicking Switch to premium in the upper right corner or clicking this link. This is the free side, most companies are discussed on the premium side.

But many companies are not discussed…maybe because no one knows about them. Most recommendations do have some some conversations going but companies that aren’t recommendations may not. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be discussed. Go to the Premium Side, click the green New Topic button and ask again (using the Premium Central, Just Ask category will be a good place to start.
