PLEASE END THIS NOW!

This is ENOUGH. Because of the extraordinary times, we’ve accepted these market timing discussions, but we’ve all said our pieces and we are just repeating ourselves. As Bear just said, none of us know what’s going to happen, and arguing how long the disruption will last, and how severe or mild it will be, is not only off topic for the board, but is like arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

Let’s get back to discussing stocks, for instance which of our stocks will get through this the best, and WHY?

PLEASE END DISCUSSIONS OF THE CORONAVIRUS! PERIOD!

Thanks for your cooperation.

PLEASE END DISCUSSIONS OF THE CORONAVIRUS! PERIOD!

I ask that you respect Saul’s wishes. He started the board and has a vision for it (which is pretty clearly stated at least once a week) so follow along and don’t clutter up this board with those things.

If you want to talk about the COVID disease itself, or the follow-after economic effects, or the stock market, or the politics there are plenty of other boards on the Fool that will accommodate you.

Macro-Economic effects (MeTAR)

Politics, politics, politics (Political Asylum)

Berkshire (often good value investing observations)

Bonds:

And there are boards for liberals, conservatives, homeowners, real estate investors, dividend stocks, individual companies, even atheists and Christians too! Sadly there is no board for “market timers” because people keep thinking you can’t do it, even though I’ve now managed it for the third time (2000, 2008, 2020) Last three sentences:

I disagree with Saul that “arguing about how long the disruption will last” or the rest is useless, I find much good information that helps inform me of my positions in the market in general and some individual stocks in particular - and gives me a sense of market and individual investor sentiment. But I don’t bring it here because that’s not what he wants on his board.
