I have MS Office 2007 software that I install on any new computer and have been doing that for many years with no issues.
Now, with my newest laptop, almost every time I open Word or Excel it goes through some process saying it is “reconfiguring”.
Any thoughts on what this might be about?

Is it a 16 or 32 bit version? I suspect, if 16 bit, the OS is configuring for this.

Were they even selling 16 bit Office at that point? WinME was already past end-of-life at that point, and WinXP wasn’t offered in a 16 bit version.
I don’t know. All I know is it has never done this before on the many computers I’ve installed it on. Including my 32 bit desktop.
So, is this being installed on 10 or 11? I would wonder if some “NEW AND IMPROVED” change rolled out on the OS platform.
