Site is not working on my iPhone 13 Plus

Ever since the merger to this new site, I am not able to do two things.

  1. Log in to TMF via my iPhone.
  2. Read posts and or replies on my iPhone. When I try and read a reply and or post it is completely vertical with a one letter line going from top to bottom.

I can only read them on my PC.

Pretend the following is a post that I am trying to read on my iPhone. It will be read from top to bottom like this…

Ah. Well on my iPads the site occasionally starts “vibrating” and is impossible to read.

Sometimes it stops by itself if I scroll up or down, sometimes it doesn’t, and then I stop it by closing out and finding something else to do.

Maybe I’ll video it with my phone next time so somebody else can watch it and get a headache, too.

I haven’t tried to use the new site from my iPhone (8+), but I am curious. What browser are you using? I used Firefox for the old boards, and would use it for the new if I ever give that a try.

I’m using Safari. =17

What’s up with this “I have to use 20 characters” to post??

The software is trying to eliminate posts that say “Great!” And nothing else.

My question for the day is why is the word “wiz” not allowed? (OK, that one is allowed. Spell it with an h between the w and i, no go.)

Yea, ridiculous isn’t it? Guess that’s an attempt to eliminate “yes” and “no” answers.

Must be a particular vintage or iOS of the OP’s iPhone, I have been able to read, post on my iPhone 11 Pro Max (was iOS 16.02, now 16.1) with no issues other than finding my way around. We were just up in Seattle, DW took over the 11" MBA, so I did all my web wandering on this same iPhone… More details when posting problems, make, model, etc, helps…

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max running IOS 16.1 using Safari for my browser.

As I understand it, the designer behind the software believed in promoting conversations with substance. Whether the 20 character minimum fosters that I won’t try to comment, but I believe that is what is behind it.

That’s my understanding.

The point about including details is on point. Of course that includes this works for me posts such as yours… which would benefit by including which browser you use. :sunglasses:

I’ve a browser folder on my iPhone, but only use others for confirmation of problems, Safari is my standard blower in iOS as well as where I am stoppered, Mojave, on my Mac OS…

I think the only time I go to Firefox on my Mac is to update it… Very rare to have a site not be happy with Safari…

weco…

I don’t seem to be having the same issue as you. I’m using iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 16 and using Safari.

Razz

Is it possible you accidentally set your iPhone to view in Desktop Mode and not Mobile Mode? I’ve seen it behave like this when that happens.

On the sidebar on the left, way down at the bottom, should be one or two buttons. One looks like a phone, the other a keyboard…click the phone to toggle to mobile mode and see if that fixes it.

Thank you Mints, that fixed it.
