And the other war. The noon news here in metro Detroit reported that TFG carried Dearborn, by a considerable margin. The population of Dearborn is 55% middle eastern Muslim. Apparently, the residents of the city were protesting Biden’s support for Israel. They must have short memories, as TFG is much tighter with Israel. Around 3:15 last night, ABC News read congratulatory messages from Macron and “Bibi”. “Bibi’s” message clearly showed that the bromance between him and TFG is in full flower.

Yes, some see Ukraine as an EU issue. So up to them to provide most of the support. Will that be via Nato? Will the US participate or back away?

A super majority of Palestinians have peace and security with Israel. Those that don’t have been at war with Israel for 75 years with Russian backing.

Biden waged a stupid war and it will be coming to an end is good. I suspect the war will come to an end through negotiations. Biden, and the entrenched political class of both parties failed to understand the mood of the people. They should have started the peace negotiations at least a year ago. Now complaining about “not in a good way” is shame. Ukraine might cede some territory so that Putin can claim victory and everybody can move on. It is what it is.
The bigger lesson for Europe and the world is stop letting, some voters in a US swing states determine your safety. US is not your nanny.

I seem to recall,way, way back in 2017, the Prez trying to ban Muslim’s from entering the USA. Remember after it got overturned, listening to a Muslim lady who had relatives in Canada describe how she had been refused entry back into Detroit, from Windsor, and that it had forced about a week long stay in hotels in Windsor before she and her family were allowed back in to the USA.
Apparently all is forgiven in regards to that ban, by the Muslims in metro Detroit. Hey, if they don’t mind, I guess there is no reason for the rest of us to care, right ?

This war has been a SUCCESS for US strategic interests.
The purpose of the Ukrainian war [for the USA] is to bleed Russia, with Ukrainian casualties, accelerating its decline.
We sent Boris Johnson to kill the Ukraine-Russia negotiations in 2022.
Boris whispering into Zelensky’s ear that he would have to full support of the West.
Zelensky obvious did not know the US propensity of tossing allies under the bus. Hungary rebels after stirring then up in 1956, Iraqi Kurd rebel after Gulf War, and S Vietnamese when Congress cut off funding. I’m sure there are more examples.

In a sense all war is stupid. But rolling over for Putin would have been a terrible decision. You might want to study a little history.
Reading Woodward’s “WAR” and it makes clear that, though not perfect by any means, the Biden administration had a good team in place from the State Department to the military to the intelligence community. I have no expectation that Trump will have any kind of truly competent team in place. After all, the man who ‘knows more about everything than anyone in the world’ doesn’t need good advisors, only yes me.
