The data provided for transplants in the US is not broken down precisely by dates - it is given as a lump sum by week #. For the purposes of this summary, I’m using week 13 as the estimate for transplants in Q1 and week 26 as the estimate for Q2. Imperfect, but should be directionally accurate.
The graphs show data through week 27, so there is one extra data point on each graph. Also, the latest weekly data is always “partial” data - meaning it’s not the final tally yet for that particular week. That’s why it looks like there is a slight dip in the end of the line for 2023 data - that is the week 27 partial data.
Reminder - we don’t know what % of the total transplants were provided by TMDX. But rising numbers are probably indicative of mostly TMDX related growth.
Liver - 2022 week 26 total = 4639. 2023 week 26 total = 5268. 629 increase.
- Week 13 total was 2548, so weeks 14 to 26 total is 2720 - 7% increase over weeks 1-13.
Heart - 2022 week 26 total = 1935. 2023 week 26 total = 2269. 334 increase.
- Week 13 total was 1066, so weeks 14 to 26 total is 1203 - 12% increase over weeks 1-13.
Lung - 2022 week 26 total = 1319. 2023 week 26 total = 1522. 203 increase.
- Week 13 total was 698, so weeks 14 to 26 total is 824 - 18% increase over weeks 1-13.
The Lung data is very encouraging to see. As stated above, it’s impossible to know if TMDX is the source of this increase, but this is a really nice jump from previous years.
