Tucker Carlsen given offer by Russian State TV

Tucker Carlson is obviously on Putin’s team trying to destroy US from the inside. Many of his ilk are still spewing Russian propaganda in our media and politics.

They do not use their constitution.

Sure they use their constitution! One of my Russian friends has a copy of it conveniently close to his bidet…

And behind the scenes Carlson said he ‘hated Trump’. Talk about cynical.

And they think they can come out on top in an authoritarian kleptocracy.

Interesting, a new neighbor wanted me to support Trump last night. He started by saying trump may be…you fill in the blank with a few curse words.

Going silently into the night is surrender. The Russian propaganda deserves what it gets.

Hang on there Cochise. Putting Carlsen, who was just proven to have pushed false narratives on viewers, on as “credible”?

Perhaps Patrick Bet-David definition differs from yours.grin. Carlson will bring eyes to Valuetainment.

It is part of the double speak that has been going for decades. “Credible” means “proven liar.” “Fair and balanced” means completely biased and unreliable.

Oh, that is the advanced version. Mostly it just means "does not drool, blink uncontrollably, or laugh like the Wicked Witch of the West while the cameras are on.

I believe Lorne Michaels’ 1976 offer of $3,000 (1) for the Beatles (2) to reunite was significantly more serious. (3)

(1) To be fair that would be worth $15,914 in todays dollar

(2) Lorne Michaels later told George he could keep all the money

(3) John and Paul were actually watching the show live at John’s Dakota apartment and thought about going down to the studio to collect half the money. But they decided to get stoned instead. (4)

(4) OK, I made up that last sentence about being stoned. But I bet it’s true.

Very risky if Google shuts them down.

Mainstream news? Fox isn’t mainstream - it’s alt-right.

Well, given the ratings, you could argue that Fox Noise is “mainstream”. Not a thought I enjoy, but there it is.

Yes and no. It’s the single most watched “news” channel (although it self-admits it’s not a news channel). In one recent survey, it had some 2.2 million viewers: Cable news ratings U.S. networks 2023 | Statista

How many folks are there in the US alone? I believe it is north of 330 million. 2.2 million is still not mainstream in terms of total potential viewers, not much more than 1/2 a percent actually. Its impact, though, is certainly more than its overall percentage of watchers.

A few days ago I read that in Uzbekistan (independent since 1991) millions of people watch Russian TV, because Russian is the second language of communication of the country.
Not having access to other international TV channels, it is clear what the political views of many Uzbeks are.
However, Americans have other possibilities, so if they wanted to compare the information presented by the different TV channels, they would have this possibility.
