I was surprised to hear of the booing when Gov Abbott showed at the recent MAGA rally in TX.

I’ve always thought he was a popular TX gov. Wrong?

(His finishing effort when he spoke trying to get the crowd in a chant with “Let’s Go Trump” was very poorly received and poorly advised. Very much like the “Let’s Go Brandon” chant that swept the US beginning last year.)

Lived in TX for ~2 years, over 60 years ago. Good experience, but the humidity!!! (Houston area)

The MAGA people seem pretty split on Abbott, Huffines, and West. Abbott did himself no favors during the snowstorm and aftermath last year. Abbott currently beats O’Rourke by 7 points–I don’t know if that is high or even comfortable for him at this point…
