Who profits from an Iran War?

Israel and perhaps a few of the crony capitalists that surround the President.

But I’m pretty sure it ain’t going to do anything for “affordability” or the price of beef.

I guess we’ll find out in 10 days! Which is 2 weeks if we’re only counting business days…

Oil prices don’t seem to like what’s going on. On the sunny side of things, maybe we found a new way to lower interest rates without pressuring the Fed.

Who profits from an Iran War?” The Pentagon.

The Trillion Dollar Military feeds on war like a blackhole on a white dwarf. The Pentagon needs a new war, and they have got Trump’s ego by the nose ring. The Pentagon is hiding behind the scenes and letting Netanyahu have the stage, but it’s always the military that really has The President’s ear. You can’t even name a President in the last 75 years that wasn’t punch-drunk on the power of the United States Military. Jimmy Carter is the only President since WWII who did not engage in direct military conflict, and that because he was a military officer and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, the only president since Eisenhower with the same background.

Going to war in the Middle East is about feeding the trillion dollar Blackhole.

That always come across as bigoted.

Do you ask that about Ukraine? Or about Russia? Or about Yemen? Yes you do but rarely. Always Israel. 174 UN resolutions against Israel in ten years. 12 against Iran and 9 against Russia. Israel always on the outs. That is what bigotry does.

The Iranians stand to benefit the most. I get the big orange is not altruistic. But his foreign policy makes more sense than anyone else’s.

He won’t cave on Ukraine because he does not want Russian oil going on the market against American oil. Or Saudi or Iraqi oil. Oil is cheap. He takes oil off the market when it is cheap.

Then the US military industrial complex benefits.

But mostly the world population benefits if Iran does not become a nuclear power.

The Iranian regime has its hands in over one million Arab deaths in Syria and Yemen. The Arabs benefit far more than the Israelis.

The Saudi benefit. The Iranians and Saudis are fierce competitors.

The world benefits. And until the left begins to make sense why attack the right?

There would have been no war with Gaza if everyone was Muslim. That includes you one day. 911 has already happened.

No it isn’t.

Israel has long wanted to neutralize Iran and American taxpayers will end up footing the bill to the tune of billions of dollars, just like we have for the genocide in Gaza.

Israel wants to free Iran. Economically free Iran as well. Avoid a nuclear Iran. Israel wants an Iran that does not create warring among the Arabs. Israel want to stop support of the Muslim nationalists.

How was Gaza genocide? Prove it. I do not mean copy and paste quotes. I mean in your own words define how Gaza was a genocide. No but so and so said. Just your thinking.

Anyone else can jump in, but no names and quotes. Just your case how was it genocide?

I’m not sure, but here’s some tweets sent out by someone in a position to know:

11/29/11 Donald J Trump: In order to get elected, @BarackObama will start a war with Iran.

1/17/12 Donald J Trump: @BarackObama will attack Iran in order to get re-elected.

9/16/13 Donald J Trump: I predict that President Obama will at some point attack Iran in order to save face!

11/10/13 Donald J Trump: Remember that I predicted a long time ago that President Obama will attack Iran because of his inability to negotiate properly — not skilled!

It is after 8 am EST, and crickets. Some of you are so convinced, but you can not put into words at all? In your own words without quoting some agency or dignitary, again how is it genocide? You’ve been wound up by the bigots for years. Now say it, in your own words?

In your own words, what does “neutralize Iran” mean?

No nukes?
No theocracy?
No arming the likes of the Muslim Brotherhood?

What is wrong with that?

I always have to say “in your own words” because logic should apply. There is so much bigotry involved otherwise, including masses of bigotry from the UN.

It is an honest, constructive conversation to have these things explained in your own words.

It is 130 pm and crickets. You guys are so worked up that only asking for your own words is the obstacle.

If you can not independently state the logic of your position then perhaps the headlines are vaccuous.

People say that about Israel.

We spend far more of the budget defending Central Europe with boots on the ground.

And then, we spend far more defending Japan with boots on the ground.

The Pentagon budget is not fully broken out. Aid to Israel is. Israel gets much smaller amounts of money.

We spend far more defending Middle Eastern oil fields than we spend on Israel. The airbases doing that are boots on the ground.

Do you have an iota of data saying otherwise? Why did you say it, then? People say it. Lay down with dogs get up with fleas.

We can call it whatever you want, it’s still unacceptable. Just for the sake of argument, let’s look at the Genocide Convention -

"Article 2 of the Convention defines genocide as:

… any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

What exactly do you disagree with? I’m guessing your disagreement is rooted in “genocidal intent.” The specific intent to destroy, as opposed to the collateral damage of their campaign against Gaza. If that’s the case, Israel didn’t do themselves any favors by not having clear goals, not establishing ways to measure progress against those goals, and complete lack of transparency through their ban on international journalists having access to report on their campaign against Gaza. Their actions and behaviors seem kinda genocidey.

It seems self evident that what has happened, and continues to happen, in Gaza is genocide. Even if we can’t agree on what to call it, we can agree that what is happening is unacceptable…right?

Board of Peace? Not so much. Bored of Peace seems to be a better description of what we’re seeing 'round those parts.

That is not the intent.

The Israelis are not interesting in destroying the group. Or getting rid of the group.

Why would you assume that? Oh because Hamas said it. It is not so. Yes Hamas said it. It did not happen. It won’t happen.

A few very angry things have been said by Israeli leadership. Those statements are not the policy of Israel. Those statements are not leading to any such intent.

At any time Hamas can accept Israel on its borders. Then there would be a state of Palestinian. In peace after the 2005 election of Hamas, the leadership decided not to declare a government of Gaza, or to declare Gaza a country. Hamas refuses to have a state of Israel.

Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations are surprised by your attitudes. The Muslim Brotherhood or Muslim nationalists want an end to their states as well. In the Middle East the poli does not just single out Israel. Israel has been one of their defenders, while the theocracy in Iran has armed the Muslim nationalists.

The clans in Gaza are being armed and trained by the Israelis. There are Palestinians that are not bigoted at all against Israel, more specifically Jews.

You forgot the sarcasm font! Or you have got to be joking! Although I must apologize; I usually ignore all of your posts.

Most of the defense subsidy has to be spent on American equipment. Taxpayer dollars going to American business via Israel.

Google AI

Based on the provided search results, the claim that most U.S. defense aid to Israel is spent on American equipment and functions as a, transfer to U.S. defense contractors is accurate.

  • Requirement to Buy American: The majority of U.S. military aid to Israel is provided through the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program, which acts as vouchers that must be spent on American-made defense products.
  • Economic Impact on U.S.: As of early 2026, nearly 100% of the roughly $4 billion in annual military aid is used to purchase equipment from U.S. defense contractors (e.g., Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing), which supports American jobs and manufacturing.
  • Phasing Out Exceptions: While Israel has historically been permitted to use a portion of its FMF aid to purchase equipment from its own domestic defense industry (offshore procurement), this exception is being phased out under the 2016 Memorandum of Understanding, with 100% mandated to be spent in the U.S. by 2028.
  • Aid Structure: This aid is not a direct cash transfer to the Israeli government but rather a, flow of funds to U.S. companies to supply the Israel Defense Forces.

In essence, this mechanism acts as a, subsidy for American defense manufacturing while providing Israel with advanced, American-made technology.

Israelis Jews can’t do themselves any favors with the press or anyone else.

Everyone else will do anything including murder to proselytize. That is the beginning of all indoctrination.

Adults listen.

If you are so arrogant that you can only hear what you already believe there is something wrong with you.

I explained why I think that. Ugghh, I guess I’ll quote myself…

Meaning - I’m basing my assumptions of Israel’s genocidal intent on the fact that they didn’t set goals, nor have a plan after their campaign. Also, let’s not pretend their shellacking of Gaza was targeted. They also blocked access for independent journalists to report on their campaign against Gaza. Now Israel is part of a corrupt Board of Piece. That group is a Who’s Who of sketchy despots…without Palestinian representation.

That’s stuff shady people do.

Would you argue that all of the vitriol and nastiness coming from US leadership doesn’t affect US policy? I wouldn’t.

It was not openly discussed.

Yours is an asumption.

The clans are being armed and trained. I saw that outcome 2 years ago.

The Jews and Palestinians identify with each other. The Muslim nation hates.
