Android- Getting an Icon

DW was an app that I installed 4 times. It does not make an icon on the phone.

So she goes to goog, does a search, swipes down 2 or three screens past the advertisements, hits the app/install item.

It already knows it is installed and she presses “Open” to run the app.

It is IHealth MyVitals.

Any ideas?

I installed it quickly here on my Galaxy running Android 12. The icon showed up in my home screen list of apps as “iHealth” and it’s a bright orange. See if it’s hidden somewhere on the home screen. It almost looks like hunter’s vest orange.

If there are multiple pages, the icon could have been dropped on another secondary page, from the home screen... and it usually is if you have more than one page.

Hi PhazFool,

I finally found it.

I went horizontal through the 3 screens and could not find it.

Then I went vertical and did not find it up or down.

Just now, after reading your post, I looked again. Nothing horizontal and nothing vertical.

BUT, I noticed the up-swipe to the Goog stuff had “2 dots” and did a left swipe and found the “stinking little #%$@&# thing!”

I moved it to the main screen …

#*^$@#^! phones!

Thanks for making me look again.

I like my 24" screen .

Hi jerryab2,

“I like my 24” screen ."

Agree 100%!

On this box, a replacement for my 12 year old Linux box, I went from 21" to 32". I use the same font size but I am absolutely spoiled by what I can put on the screen.

I am using 8 virtual screens with different sets of programs on each screen. For developing projects, I have a 7 window standard set with one in the data directory and six, in 2 sizes, in the project directory so I can watch data, look at runtime logs and edit various modules of the program while testing/modifying a project. No hunting for hidden windows or dropping out of something to go into something else and then back again.

And it still leaves room for extras like a calculator, file manager, etc.

I view smart phones as a necessary evil in my life.
