It was unclear when, but in the past couple weeks at least, I saw my Outlook, from Office 365, was not happy with my @mac Account…
And I had trouble getting into my iCloud account as well, so I did a reset of the iCloud password, and it worked fine, I found a lot of Junk emails hidden away, so I thought that same password should fix the Outlook connection. Wrong.
I fought it a few days, trying the old, the new, passwords, but it would never authenticate and go Green.
This morning, my stubborn self, deleted the account. Tried to Add it back in, got nowhere, but it did ask for an App Password to be generated, so I went there, followed along, and once I get that, the Account went Green right away, and a lot of old emails came through, so there apparently was trouble long before I noticed it… I thought I still saw all the @mac/@me emails on my iPhone, but I guess they didn’t show up, or were left on the server…
Anyway, just a note on a successful recovery… I may have to see if I can do the same with an old @pacbell email, so it could be pulled into Outlook again, maybe a similar problem… I normally use a @comcast & a @gmail Account, they have been solid quite a while…

(noticing few Office 365 Mac users, but…)
Update: I was able to create what at&t calls a “secure mail key” and now I have it (the @pacbell email) working in Office 365’s Mac Outlook app, that has never worked before, I always had to go to the Yahoo online site to clean out the spam, etc…
