Right now the US is refusing to go to war. It is an emotional need after two long major wars in the Muslim world. Iran would be the third and possibly more bloody war. The war may prove unavoidable. But that for now is being put off. Yet the US and Iran are exchanging quite a bit of fire.
Strategically Israel is only one country involved. Most of Iran’s murders have happened in Arab nations. Israel is being enrolled as a protector. This would have gotten worse and will get worse with or without the US. With or without Israel.
I do not kid myself that one party or the other would keep us out of this war. This is very odd, but Don is the best wartime leader. Why? Because no matter how he is rushing in, he is tempering the US response better than W or O did in Iraq.
